Rheumatology consults when you need it
Consults with a Specialist can often take several weeks to even months in a traditional practice. This is particularly concerning because we know early diagnosis and treatment is key to long-term outcomes.
The prevalence of arthritis and autoimmune disease are on the rise, while access to Rheumatologist has diminished due to a national shortage of providers.
Second opinion consults now available
A recent Mayo Clinic study confirmed that getting a second opinion cuts the chance of misdiagnosis in half. While an earlier study also by the Mayo Clinic, found that 1 in 5 patients receive a distinctly different diagnosis from their second doctor. The study revealed that out of 286 cases reviewed, only 12% received a second diagnosis that matched the first!
Appointments with Board-Certified Physicians only
When seeking medical care for complex Rheumatologic diseases, consulting a Board-Certified Physician is crucial for receiving expert advice, accurate diagnoses, and effective, early treatment.
Unfortunately too often patients are forced to see mid-level providers (such as PA’s and NPs), many whom are new to the field, instead of a Rheumatologist. We offer immediate access to physicians who have undergone extensive fellowship training and board-certification.
