  • In a traditional insurance based clinic, your doctor is reimbursed per visit and for each task performed during the visit. This incentivizes seeing more patients as quickly as possible. Most doctors in a traditional medical practice will have 2500-4000 patients each.

    In our model your doctor limits his panel to 500 patients. This allows for more time with each patient, which has been shown to result in better health outcomes.

  • We are out of network with all HMO and PPO plans. This applies only to visits; however labs, imaging and medications can be obtained using your insurance.

  • Yes, you can use your insurance as you normally would for any lab, imaging or medication Dr. Vasconcellos prescribes.

    However through our relationships with local facilities we can often offer wholesale prices for labs and imaging cheaper than insurance rates.

  • Yes, any visit can be in person or via telemedicine. This is currently only for patients in Florida, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. If you do not reside in the states listed, you still can sign up if you visit our location in Boca Raton, FL at least once a year.

  • Yes we do, we ask that all previous workup including labs and imaging be obtained at least 1 day prior to the appointment to allow adequate time to review

  • Yes, international appointments are available via telemedicine, or for patient’s visiting.

  • Dr. Vasconcellos can be your primary Rheumatologist, he can also provide second opinions as well.
